Downtown Spartanburg. Broadcast Habits.
Our studio is at 187 North Church Street, a few minutes' walk from Morgan Square. When a Spartanburg business hires us for video, the crew is local, the gear is local, and the person who plans the shoot is the person who shows up to run it.
Our founder spent fifteen years in Upstate local television — executive producer at WSPA, and at WYFF 4 a utility player who worked just about every seat in the newsroom — and NBC News Channel has been a Sidestreet client for nearly a decade. That's why we're fast. TV news teaches you to plan tight, light quickly, get the interview right the first time and hit a deadline that doesn't move.
The short answer
Sidestreet Media is a video production company in Downtown Spartanburg, SC. We produce brand films, testimonial and training videos, event coverage, live streams and FAA Part 107 drone footage for businesses, schools, churches and local government across Spartanburg County. Most brand films run $3,000–$12,000.
What We Shoot in Spartanburg
Brand films
Two to four minutes on who you are and why it matters. It's the single most useful video most companies ever make — and the one they usually put off.
How brand films workTestimonial & case-study video
Real customers on camera, saying it in their own words. News producers spend their careers getting nervous people comfortable in front of a lens — it shows.
Training & internal video
Onboarding, safety and process video for plants, practices and offices. Shot once, used for years, and cheaper than repeating the same session every quarter.
Event coverage & live streaming
Single-camera documentary coverage up to multi-camera live production with real-time switching. LiveU bonded cellular backs up venue internet that can't be trusted.
Production capabilitiesDrone & aerial
Construction progress, facilities, real estate and events from above. Our pilots are FAA Part 107 certified and handle airspace authorization during planning.
Podcasts & interview series
Multi-camera podcast and interview production, cut for YouTube, Reels and Shorts so one recording feeds a month of social.

What Video Costs in Spartanburg
These are the same ranges we publish everywhere on this site. Where a project lands depends on shoot days, locations, how many people are on camera and how much post-production it needs.
Brand film
Two to four minutes. Scripted and directed, professionally lit, edited to broadcast standards.
Testimonial or case-study video
Real customers or employees on camera. Shoots faster than a brand film.
Event coverage, single camera
Keynotes, recognition moments, highlight reel. Priced by the day.
Multi-camera live production
Live switching, graphics and a stream out to your platform of choice.
Drone, extra deliverables and rush timelines are scoped with the project. Everything's written down before a camera comes out of the case.
Why a Newsroom Background Changes the Video
Real people, not actors
Most business video stars people who've never been on camera — your plant manager, your hygienist, a customer who agreed to help. Getting them relaxed and talking in full sentences is the whole job, and it's exactly what a TV producer does every day.
We also know when to stop. A newsroom interview has to be usable in one take more often than not, so we plan questions around the story you need to tell, not around filling a hard drive.
Spartanburg shoots have their own rules
Spartanburg County runs on manufacturing, and plant-floor shoots come with PPE, photo policies, line schedules and equipment that can't appear on camera. We ask about all of it before we arrive.
Footage moves from the shoot to the edit through Latakoo — the same field-to-post pipeline newsrooms use — so nothing waits on a hard drive in the mail, and same-day turnarounds are actually possible.
“Sidestreet has been terrific to work with. Quick to respond, always providing quality media, and an excellent value with professional results.”
— Britt Dillard, First Baptist Spartanburg

A professionally produced brand film typically runs $3,000–$12,000, a testimonial or case-study video $1,500–$4,000, single-camera event coverage $1,500–$5,000 a day, and multi-camera live production $8,000 and up. Shoot days, locations and post-production scope decide where a project lands, and we put the scope in writing before we start.
Yes. Sidestreet was founded in 2010 and has had its office at 187 North Church Street in Downtown Spartanburg since 2013. The crew that shoots your project is the same senior team you meet.
Most brand films and testimonial projects take three to six weeks from kickoff to final delivery, including planning, the shoot and editing. For events we can deliver social-ready selects the same day, with the full edit following within a week or two.
Yes. We run everything from a single-camera stream to multi-camera live production with real-time switching. When the venue's internet is unreliable we stream over LiveU bonded cellular, and we can deliver to YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo, Zoom, Teams or an SRT feed.
Yes — our drone operators are FAA Part 107 certified. Parts of Spartanburg County sit inside controlled airspace around GSP and the downtown airport, so some locations need FAA authorization before we fly. We check that during planning, not on the day.
The senior people you met. Sidestreet doesn't hand projects to a junior production team after the pitch — the person who plans your shoot runs it and stays with it through the edit.
All the time — Greenville, the rest of the Upstate, Western North Carolina and across the Southeast. Spartanburg is home, so local projects are the easiest ones we do.
