Broadcast-Grade Delivery,
Without a Broadcast Truck.
Most live streams fail in the boring part. The cameras look great, the show is tight, and then the feed stutters because one internet connection in one building was carrying the whole thing. Nobody watching cares how good the switching was.
We come from newsrooms, where a dropped feed isn’t an inconvenience — it’s a missed story. So we built Sidestreet Live Distribution the way networks do it: redundant paths in, cloud processing in the middle, and as many outputs as you need on the other end. Your website, YouTube, Facebook, a private viewer page, and a clean feed handed off to a TV station, all from the same show.
That works for a one-night gala and it works for a weekly service. The infrastructure scales up for the big moments and back down when it’s quiet, so you’re not paying for a broadcast operation 365 days a year.
What Happens Between
the Camera and the Viewer
On site, we produce the show — cameras, audio, graphics, and switching from the same senior crew that runs our production days. The program feed leaves the building over more than one path: the venue’s internet, bonded cellular, and satellite or dedicated fiber when the location calls for it. If one path drops, the next one is already carrying the signal.
In the cloud, the feed gets encoded into every format the destinations need, from a phone on a weak connection to a 1080p smart TV. It’s packaged, protected, and pushed out through a delivery network built for audiences in the thousands, not the dozens.
And for media partners, we send a broadcast-quality contribution feed straight to their control room — the same kind of handoff stations expect from a network bureau. That’s how a local event ends up on the evening news without the station rolling a truck.
Every stream gets recorded in full, so the archive, the highlight cuts, and the on-demand version are ready the next morning instead of the next week. Need remote guests or audience Q&A in the show? That’s Sidestreet Virtual Events.

Straightforward answers to what we hear most from Sidestreet live distribution clients.
Conferences, galas, product launches, investor and shareholder meetings, graduations, sporting events, worship services, public meetings, and press conferences. If people need to watch it live from somewhere else and it matters that the stream doesn’t fail, it fits.
When the location calls for it. Most events go out over a mix of the venue’s internet and bonded cellular, which is plenty for the vast majority of venues. For remote sites or events where the stakes justify it, we add satellite or dedicated fiber as another path. We’ll tell you up front what the venue needs, and we won’t sell you a path you don’t.
Yes. We deliver contribution-quality feeds to station control rooms and production partners, the same way a network bureau would. It’s one of the more useful things about having a crew that comes out of broadcast news — we know what the station on the other end needs to see.
Delivery runs through a global content delivery network, so a few dozen viewers and tens of thousands look the same from our side. The thing that actually limits most streams is the upload from the venue, which is exactly the part we build redundancy into.
It depends on the number of cameras, the length of the show, how many destinations you need, and whether you want extra signal paths. Production follows our standard day structure, and delivery is billed on usage at cost, so you pay for the event you had and not a month of idle capacity. We quote it after one conversation about the event.
Our crews are based in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and travel throughout the Carolinas, Georgia, Virginia, Florida, New Orleans, and New York. Delivery runs in the cloud, so your audience can be anywhere. The full list of areas we serve is at the bottom of this page.
