Sidestreet Operations South Carolina LLC ("Sidestreet," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our clients and website visitors. Sidestreet Media, Sidestreet Digital Marketing and Media, and Sidestreet Technology are brands of Sidestreet Operations South Carolina LLC, the legal operating entity. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal data.
By using our services, you agree to the terms of this policy.
1. Data
Collection
Our services are provided to businesses, organizations, and other legal entities, so most of the personal data we collect belongs to people acting in a professional capacity — contacting us for information, engaging our services, or working with us on behalf of a client. This data includes:
- Names
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Payment information
- Corporate information (if the individual represents a business)
We also utilize industry-standard internet marketing tools, such as cookies and web beacons, to collect data. We do not intentionally collect data from third parties.
2. Data
Usage
The data we collect is used for the following purposes:
- Providing and supporting the services our clients purchase
- Billing, invoicing, and account administration
- Informing clients about the performance of their campaigns
- Securing our systems and preventing unauthorized access
- Automated decision-making or profiling (excluding financial decisions)
3. Legal Bases for
Processing
Where a legal basis for processing is required, we rely on one or more of the following:
- Your consent
- The performance of a contract with you or your organization
- Compliance with a legal obligation
- Our legitimate interests, provided they do not override your rights and freedoms
4. Data
Sharing
We share minimal data with vendors and service providers only to the extent necessary to operate our services. We do not sell personal data to third parties.
Where we engage subcontractors to perform material work, they are U.S.-based unless otherwise noted, and they are required to maintain confidentiality obligations consistent with our own.
5. AI-Assisted
Services
We use artificial intelligence tools, including large language model services from reputable commercial vendors, in performing our services and creating deliverables. Where those tools process client data or confidential information, we use only commercial, business, or enterprise service tiers whose terms provide that inputs and outputs are not used to train the provider's generally available models. We do not submit client data or confidential information to consumer-grade AI tools that lack those protections.
Our use of AI tools does not reduce our confidentiality or data protection obligations, and AI-assisted work product is reviewed by our team before delivery. Clients may direct us in writing to exclude specific identified materials from AI processing, and we will honor that direction.
6. Data Storage
& Security
Data is stored in datacenters located in the United States. All stored data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and we maintain administrative, physical, and technical safeguards designed to protect the security, confidentiality, and integrity of the data in our care.
Backups are stored separately from primary production systems and are also encrypted.
7. Data
Retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
When a client relationship ends, the client may request an export of its data within 30 days after termination or expiration of the applicable services. After that period, we have no obligation to retain the data and may delete or destroy all copies in our possession unless we are legally required to keep it.
8. Security
Incidents
If we become aware of unauthorized access to client data on systems we manage, we will notify the affected client without undue delay, take commercially reasonable steps to contain and remediate the incident, and share the information reasonably available to us about its nature. Notification of or response to an incident is not an acknowledgment of fault or liability.
9. User
Rights
Clients have the following rights regarding their data:
- Access: You have the right to request access to your personal data.
- Rectification: You have the right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Deletion: You have the right to request deletion of your personal data, subject to certain exceptions.
- Restriction: You have the right to request the restriction of processing of your personal data.
- Portability: You have the right to request the transfer of your personal data to another party.
- Objection: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data based on legitimate interests.
To exercise these rights, please contact us at legal@hellosidestreet.com or call (864) 574-3811.
10. Children's
Privacy
Our services are offered exclusively to businesses and organizations for business purposes, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13.
Data belonging to someone under the age of 13 is deleted immediately upon notification by a parent, guardian, or relevant authority.
11. Policy
Updates
We will inform users of any changes to this Privacy Policy through email and by publishing changes on this page.
12. Regulatory
Alignment
We design our data practices to align with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), where they apply to the data we process. For clients in regulated industries, we support their compliance obligations under frameworks such as HIPAA and CJIS — where our services involve protected health information, we execute a Business Associate Agreement before any access occurs. We do not hold specific certifications or participate in any privacy frameworks.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
